Lifestyle Rentals Limited (trading as Hiya) ("Hiya" or "the Company")

Your rental agreement with the Company has terminated with effect from 20 July 2026. You should ensure that no further rental payments are made.
The Company has taken steps to cease the collection of future payments. However, we recommend that you review any standing orders, direct debits, or other payment arrangements associated with your rental agreement and take any necessary action to prevent further payments from being made.
Please note that the Joint Liquidators will not be able to refund any payments made after the termination date.

You may retain any equipment currently rented from the Company free of charge. There is no requirement to return the equipment at any stage of the liquidation process.
Televisions supplied by Hiya: Due to the withdrawal of supporting software services, these televisions are expected to become inoperable in the near future. Customers are therefore advised to make arrangements to obtain replacement televisions from an alternative provider.

As the Company has ceased trading, it is no longer able to provide servicing, maintenance, repairs, replacements, technical support, or any other aftercare services in relation to the equipment.
Should the equipment require repair or replacement in the future, customers will need to make their own arrangements.

The Company has entered liquidation because it is no longer able to continue trading and/or meet its financial obligations as they fall due.
The decision to place the Company into liquidation was made after careful consideration of all available options and with the intention of ensuring that its affairs are dealt with appropriately and in accordance with applicable legal requirements.

Following the commencement of liquidation, control of the Company passed to the appointed Joint Liquidators.
The Joint Liquidators are responsible for managing the winding-up of the Company's affairs, realising assets where appropriate, and communicating with creditors and other stakeholders.

No. The Company has ceased trading with immediate effect and will not continue operating during the liquidation process.

Any customer who believes they are owed money by the Company may submit a claim in the liquidation as an unsecured creditor.
The availability and amount of any distribution will depend on the outcome of the liquidation and the level of funds available for unsecured creditors.
Customers who made payments by credit card or through a third-party payment provider may also wish to contact their card issuer or payment provider regarding any potential chargeback rights or consumer protection remedies that may be available.

The level of any return to creditors will depend on the value realised from the Company's assets and the total value of claims received.
Based on the information currently available, it is anticipated that there will be no distribution to any class of creditor.

The directors have confirmed that all personal customer data has been deleted or destroyed in accordance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements prior to the Company's liquidation.
Both the Company and the Joint Liquidators remain subject to relevant data protection legislation. Any personal data retained during the liquidation process will be handled in accordance with applicable legal and regulatory obligations.
